"We're very pleased to be able to offer our guests this new feature so that they can continue to enjoy favourites like our signature rib-lets and cowboy burger straight to their home or office," said Mohit Malhotra, Director of Operations for Dynapple Management Corporation, the largest Applebee's franchisor in Canada.
Applebee's is known for their welcoming neighborhood restaurants and modern culinary dishes. This national partnership with SkipTheDishes highlights Applebee's as the first casual dining chain to offer delivery with live GPS tracking and is available in select locations including Calgary, Winnipeg, and Regina, with rollout to other cities to follow.
SkipTheDishes is a technology company that connects customers and food couriers with restaurants like Applebee's. Customers type in their address on the SkipTheDishes App or website to see if they fall within a Applebee's delivery area, browse the menu, and order directly online. Once an order has been placed, the customer receives live order updates and real-time GPS tracking of their food.
"This national partnership marks an important milestone for SkipTheDishes and Applebee's," said Joshua Simair, CEO of SkipTheDishes. "North Americans are demanding more convenience and better food, and with our Apps, we're able to offer a superior experience to customers, while our restaurant partners can benefit from a 10-30% increase in business."
