TORONTO -- This National Caesar Day, who you gonna call? If you're the Ghostbusters co-creator and Canadian comedy legend Dan Aykroyd, how about some fellow comedians like Adam Sandler and Russell Peters? These comic A-listers appear alongside Dan Aykroyd in some amusing videos showcasing Canada's official cocktail, the Caesar. They are among the millions who will celebrate this iconic cocktail on May 17th for National Caesar Day.

An annual celebration of Canada's Cocktail, National Caesar Day falls on the Thursday before the Victoria Day long weekend – widely acknowledged as the unofficial kick-off to summer and patio season. Now in its fourth year, the celebration is growing to include well-known Canadians and some Americans too! "This seems like a holiday we should have two to three times a year," Sandler tells Aykroyd after trying a Caesar for the first time. The Saturday Night Live alumni showcased their natural chemistry and comedic charm during a video shoot when Aykroyd introduced Sandler to the Caesar. No Caesar introduction was necessary for Canadian comedian Russell Peters, who joked with Aykroyd about receiving a Caesar salad with ketchup after ordering a Bloody Caesar in the US. Peters had the opportunity to taste the official Caesar of 2018 created by Aykroyd made with fresh garlic, lime juice, Sriracha sauce, Crystal Head vodka and Mott's Clamato. Named the Hot Head Caesar, Peters enjoyed it, but one thing was missing: the garnish. To Canadian comedians, a Caesar without a garnish is no laughing matter, so Aykroyd challenged Canadians to create one for him. More than 12,500 recommendations were submitted, but Dan chose just one. It was a cone shaped savoury wrap stuffed with spicy tuna tartare created by Lindsay O'Hare from Etobicoke, Ontario. "I created this as a nod to Dan's famous comedy Coneheads with the funniest "fish-out-of-water" characters ever, which complemented his spicy Caesar recipe," explained O'Hare. To thank O'Hare for finishing his Caesar, Aykroyd invited her to join him in Toronto on National Caesar Day to enjoy their Hot Head Caesar together. SOURCE National Caesar Day
