Data reveals the most popular fast-food chain in every U.S. state

Americans are passionate about fast food. Business Insider teamed up with Foursquare to determine the most popular fast-food chain in each state.

For the study, we looked at which chains received the most visits on average per location in every state based on the total number of visits to each chain divided by the number of locations in that state.

For California and Texas, there are only a handful of locations for the respective chains. However, the people who visit those locations tend to visit a lot.

Chick-fil-A dominates, which isn't surprising —  the fried-chicken chain generates more revenue per restaurant than any other fast-food chain in the US.
