More than 100 at-risk students will have the unique opportunity of attending one of three annual Leadership Camps happening across the country thanks to a new partnership between McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Limited and Breakfast Club of Canada.

The five-day Leadership Camps are designed to increase self-confidence, self-esteem and teach leadership skills to participants that will continue to benefit each of them for years to come. At each camp, students will discover and develop their strengths, returning home with new found courage to achieve their goals and be even stronger leaders. Each day they will take part in team-building exercises, sports, theatre, outdoor and cultural activities. “As a parent, it’s incredibly moving to hear the powerful stories about how a Leadership Camp can transform an at-risk student’s life,” said Jacques Mignault, Chief Operating Officer, McDonald’s Canada. “At McDonald’s, we believe that every student deserves the very best opportunity to succeed. Our support of these Leadership Camps is all about helping these terrific students have some fun today, while building their character and developing their leadership skills for the future.” Students attending the camps are aged between 10 to 14-years-old and are participants in a Breakfast Club of Canada program. They are selected to attend the camp in recognition of their commitment to their peers, school breakfast program and community. Three Leadership Camps will be held annually across Canada.
