May is Kosher Restaurant Month, with 24 participating kosher restaurants in the GTA offering 10% off their regular menus to encourage Torontonians to come out and support their local kosher eateries. From falafel and laffa spots to fine dining, kosher restaurant month showcases what kosher food brings to Toronto's diverse restaurant scene.
Kosher Restaurant Month is the initiative of COR-Kashruth Council of Canada, Canada's largest kosher certification agency. Richard Rabkin, COR's Managing Director is excited kosher restaurants are getting the opportunity to showcase their contribution to Toronto's rich culinary tapestry.
"Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world and we are excited that during the month of May our city's kosher restaurants will get their opportunity to shine."
The proprietors of Toronto's kosher restaurants are excited for the opportunity as well. Miriam Epstein, owner of two of Toronto's COR Kosher certified restaurants called Tov-Li said, "I have been serving quality kosher food in the GTA for over 15 years and am proud of our long standing partnership with kosher community and COR-Kashruth Council of Canada. I invite Canadians of all backgrounds to my restaurants for Kosher Restaurant Month in May – and throughout the year."
