As Canadians, we always lend a helping hand to support our neighbours in need – it's who we are and what we do. And this weekend was no different - the response to help Fort McMurray demonstrates people's compassion and our unique Canadian spirit of giving back. The money raised through #BigMacForFortMac fundraiser will be donated directly to the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal.
Many McDonald's restaurants continue to accept donations. For those looking for more information as to how to help, please visit www.redcross.ca. Total includes $1 from every Big Mac sandwich sold and donations received May 13-15, 2016.
