Featuring delicious food pairings, insightful cooking tips and share-worthy recipe variations,
the Milk Calendar is back for 2016. Starting on November 19, 2015, the much-anticipated calendar will be distributed for free to almost 2.3 million homes across Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
Presented by Dairy Farmers of Canada, the 2016 Milk Calendar is a time-honoured tradition. Each of the 19 new recipes features the goodness of 100% Canadian milk, by including at least a cup of milk in each recipe, and can be ready in 45 minutes or less.
The new recipes, created once again by Heather Trim, accomplished Ontario food writer and recipe developer, include quick and nutritious breakfast foods, dinner ideas and sweet desserts the whole family will enjoy. Featured recipes include delicious and easy-to-make Pumpkin Granola Muffins, Homestyle Lemon Cauliflower Orecchiette and Family Night Pizza.
"The inspiration behind this year's Milk Calendar is the special moments shared by family and friends over a meal. New recipes celebrate these everyday moments by providing inspiring meal options that are not only easy-to-make for all skill levels, but also incorporate the recommended four food groups," says Trim.
The 2016 Milk Calendar will be distributed for free in local daily newspapers, you can see the complete list on MilkCalendar.ca. Additionally, in celebration of the calendar launch, 17,000 copies of the Milk Calendar will be distributed at Kensington and St. Lawrence Markets on November 21 and at Union Station on November 23.
MilkCalendar.ca will feature all of the recipes found in the 2016 Milk Calendar in English and French. The website will also host monthly recipe demonstration videos for the 2016 Milk Calendar, as part of more than 100 recipe videos created for the Milk Calendar over the years. The monthly recipes are also printed in French at the back of the calendar.
