Always wanted to own and operate your own restaurant?
Well, here’s you chance. In fact, you have TWO cheap chances to get your hands on a restaurant and everything inside! The first business opportunity is found HERE on Toronto’s Danforth at Broadview Avenue. Ruthie Cummings is raffling off her Das Gasthaus Germany eatery for $150 a ticket (4,000 tickets total). She says the restaurant is a moneymaker, and that she’s doing it to finance her elderly parents’ retirement. The second option is The Red Brick Cafe in Guelph. Owner Shelley Krieger owns two of them, but wants to give away her second location, in Exhibition Park, which she opened in 2009. Krieger told the Guelph Mercury HERE that she’s “selling” this location because “owning and overseeing two cafés is daunting, and Kreiger said she wants to simplify her life.” Her 500 tickets are going for $200 each, which will give her a $100,000 payout if all are sold. She’s selling her business in this manner because she supports the idea of the “sharing economy model.” Krieger does believe that this is a “golden opportunity” that gives somebody “the chance to potentially have a huge advantage in life.” How easy is it to run a successful restaurant? Have you dabbled in the food business? Everybody says “I’d like to open a restaurant one day.” But how many of those people last longer than one year? Source Talk Radio AM640
