With 17 locations in Washington State, Woods Coffee today announced plans to expand into Canada. The company is partnering with White Spot parent company Shato Holdings Ltd. to open its first Canadian coffee shop in Tsawwassen, British Columbia. The new location will open its doors in early 2016 at the Tsawwassen Springs Golf Club.
"We're excited to see the growth of a family-based, premium coffee service into B.C., and believe this will be a great addition to the Tsawwassen community," said Warren Erhart, President of White Spot. "As a Shato Holdings brand, The Woods Coffee company shares the same values as White Spot, offering high quality premium products and exceptional guest service."
Woods Coffee will maintain its signature Pacific Northwest feel as it expands north. Tsawwassen customers will enjoy a drive-through feature for coffee on the go, along with an indoor fireplace around which guests will enjoy Woods-roasted coffee and made-from-scratch baked treats.
"We are honoured to be working with Shato Holdings, who have a proven track record in the hospitality sector," said Wes Herman, Woods Coffee Owner. "There's no doubt they will be able to carry on the much-loved Woods culture in B.C."
Tsawwassen is a suburban community on a peninsula in the Lower Mainland, in the Municipality of Delta, with access to Point Roberts, Washington. Details on the Woods Coffee at Tsawwassen Springs location, including hours of operation, will be announced closer to its opening.
